More about the ingredients:
Olive Oil: Low cleansing, highly moisturising oil. Has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Homemade Lard/Tallow: We avoid using Palm oil, if we can. This oil has unique properties and the one that closely resembles it is either Lard or Tallow, both help in producing a creamy, conditioning hard bar. In our opinion, using tallow over palm oil is a more sustainable practice and in fact is using what would otherwise be thrown away. If you research it, your will find that Tallow contains several vitamins (A, D, E, K, B12) that are good for the skin. Tallow has similar fat saturation as human skin hence it can be absorbed easily by the latter, locking in the moisture and nutrients without clogging your pores.
Coconut Oil: It has a great foaming property that is un-matched by other oils. It contributes highly to the soap’s hardness and cleansing properties.
Cocoa Butter/Shea Butter: Adds to the firmness and moisturising properties of the soap. It contains high amounts of fatty acids and Vitamin E.
Sweet Almond Oil: Helps produces rich conditioning lather. It’s also a decent source of Vitamins E, A and D.
Castor Oil: A moisture loving oil that adds to the moisturising quality of the soap. It also helps you enjoy for longer the creamy big bubbles as it stabilises your soap’s lather.
Sodium Hydroxide: *All TRUE handmade soap are products of at least 3 necessary ingredients: Oils, liquid and Sodium Hydroxide. No sodium hydroxide remains in the soap as they are used up in the saponification process. I know! Unbelievably true. Backed by science. Proven by great results on your skin.
